Our Agriculture Commitment
Agriculture is the backbone of livelihoods in South Sudan, yet many farming communities face persistent challenges including climate change, limited tools, poor access to quality seeds, and inadequate farming knowledge.
Christ Impact Unites (CIU) works to transform agriculture from subsistence survival into a pathway for food security, income generation, and long-term resilience. Through training, tools, and community engagement, we empower farmers to feed their families and build sustainable futures.
The Challenge
Many farmers in South Sudan struggle with:
Limited access to modern and traditional farming skills
Dependence on rain-fed agriculture vulnerable to climate shocks
Lack of essential tools such as ploughs and quality seeds
Low crop yields leading to food insecurity and povert
Without support, families remain trapped in cycles of hunger and dependence on aid.

What We Do
Christ Impact Unites implements a holistic agriculture program that combines farmer training, provision of essential tools and inputs, and promotion of climate-smart farming practices. We equip smallholder farmers with practical modern and traditional farming skills, support them with manual ploughs, quality seeds, and essential inputs, and promote sustainable land and water management techniques. Through this integrated approach, we help households increase crop yields, improve food security, generate income from surplus produce, and build long-term resilience against climate change and environmental shocks.
